Otter Lake Recreation Area

About 12 miles east of Tomahawk, off Otter Lake Road, you’ll find the Otter Lake Campground and Recreation Area. A 34-acre lake allows non-motorized boats, and anglers will find plenty of panfish as well as some largemouth bass and northern pike.

You’ll find a boat landing on the northeast side of the lake (non-motorized boats only).

A scenic nature trail rings Otter Lake, open for hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing.

There’s a swimming beach on the lake’s south shore that’s perfect for families.

There’s also a campground with 25 rustic sites on the north side of the lake. First come, first served. Water pump and pit toilets.

From Tomahawk, take 86/D East from the four way stop. Right on County Rd H; approx 4 miles to left on Stevenson Rd; approx 1.5 miles to left on Grundy Rd, 2 blocks to right on Bear Trail Rd; approx 2.5 miles to left on Otter Lake Rd. Approx 1.5 miles in.
