Timm’s Hill

Attractions, ATV/UTV, Cross-country skiing, Skiing, Snowshoeing

Timm’s Hill is bordered by Rustic Road 62, a beautiful scenic driving route, and is the highest natural point in Wisconsin. Located about 24 miles west of Tomahawk, it has an elevation of 1,951 feet above sea level and it offers beautiful vistas. Climb the observation tower for a dramatic panoramic view and keep a lookout for the resident bald eagles! On clear days you can see Rib Mountain in Wausau, 44 miles away. It’s also a popular spot for viewing spectacular Fall color.

The unique topography provides a silent sports experience that’s unmatched in Wisconsin. The trail is groomed for classic and skate cross-country skiing every week and after each snowfall to keep it in good shape. Snowshoers and leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome on the trail. There’s also a snowmobile/winter ATV/UTV trail that connects to Timm’s Hill. During summer, you can relax on the park’s swimming beach on the shores of 22-acre Bass Lake or cast a line from the fishing pier.
