The Somo Avenue Recreation Area (SARA) Park is a multi-use venue just west of Main Street (Wisconsin Ave).
This pleasant park on West Somo Avenue has a family-friendly swimming beach, changing rooms, showers, restrooms and picnic area.
It has a public boat landing with parking, as well as campsites with electric & water on the Wisconsin River (find more camping info from the City of Tomahawk here).
Also includes a playground, baseball diamonds and Tomahawk Youth Baseball & Softball, and the Hockey Association Ice Arena.
It’s also a good place to launch a hiking or biking adventure on the Hiawatha Trail—the trail begins at the park!
Bordered by the Tomahawk Dog Park.
Wa Wui hosts Bingo at SARA Park’s rentable banquet hall Spring through Fall, as well as Pickleball year round. Check their website for dates & times.
Every September, SARA Park also hosts Northwoods Fall Ride‘s Bonfire & Brat Fry, vendors, Harley-Davidson demos, Indoor Bike Show and more.
