April 2 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Treehaven Dinner and a Speaker Series
Exploring Old Growth Forests in the Northwoods
April 2, 2019 – Dinner 6 p.m., Speaker 7 p.m

Love walking under the canopy of big trees? Then join us for a night of story-telling as author and naturalist John Bates of Manitowish Waters shares memories of his favorite adventures among the old growth forests of the Northwoods. John will also be on hand to discuss his most recent book, “Our Living Ancestors: The History and Ecology of Old-Growth Forests in Wisconsin (and Where to Find Them).” This fascinating book directs visitors to the 50 best old-growth sites left in Wisconsin. Each site has clear directions, a listing of ownership, size, and age, and a description of its ecological features, with perhaps a story of why it was saved
