ATV Trail Reports

Winter 2018

Lincoln County ATV/UTV trails  are OPEN in Zone 1 ONLY.

Oneida County  ATV/UTV trail system are OPEN.

All ATV/UTV trails close when the temperature is 28 degrees F or warmer.

 This report will be updated as conditions change.

For public ATV & UTV registrations, in addition to the 2 side decals furnished by DNR, owners will be required to furnish their own rear plate. Access the following link for detailed information: www.co.lincoln.wi.us/i/d/2012_utv.atv_info.pdf

The maximum width for an ATV/UTV in the Spring/Summer trials in Lincoln County is 65 inches wide.

The maximum width for winter ATV/UTV trails is 48 inches wide.

The paved routes and roads in the city of Tomahawk, towns of Bradley and  Nokomis remain open. The paved routes and roads in the Somo Lake area are open.

Lincoln County's summer ATV trails system are open to side by side UTV's that meet the standard definition and are registered with the Wisconsin DNR.

Some roads in the City of Tomahawk are now open for ATV use. Please make sure you ride only on the marked trails. The Hiawatha Trail is NOT open to ATVs. It is for Hiking and Biking only. We have had reports of ATV's on this trail. You will be fined if caught riding your ATV on the Hiawatha.

The local ATV clubs have put together a new Lincoln County Trail Map. Please call the Chamber or fill out the Trail Map Request Form and we will send you the new map. If you live in Tomahawk, please stop in at the Chamber to pick up the new map.
